As a Magpies fan, it was fascinating to hear about the strong footy culture in Fremantle. I can see why the AFL granted them a team licence. I’ve visited Fremantle and it’s a beautiful town. Highly recommend a visit. The Fremantle Market is particularly nice.

Only 1 US, Australian and GB runner and all the rest from shall we say tainted programs. Great effort from an absolutely deserving Olympic champion!

Mallee area is great. The footy was fantastic back then-A Grade, B Grade and Colts. There was Lameroo South and North, Parilla, Wilkawatt, Pinnaroo, Murrayville, Ngallo. The best people and sport. Cheney's Bakery in Lameroo had the tastiest pastys in the state.

In April that same year, I was really pissed because McDonald’s were providing Aladdin toys with their Happy Meals when I feel like they should’ve been providing Star Wars toys as it was around the time the original Star Wars trilogy was remastered and rereleased at the cinemas.

Ian Chappell led the rise of the Australian cricket team, the fight for better pay for the players, and professionalisation of the game through WSC. I was lucky enough to meet Ian Chappell at a social function, where he showed genuine interest in me, the waiters and bar staff. Ian made everyone feel important. In Australia we call this type of man "A Top Bloke"
